Degustation Pianistic evolved from the annual Maresch-Johns-Concerts, staged by members of the piano faculty of the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz/Austria, to commemorate two of their much too soon deceased colleagues. These events where held in a very open and loose, but highly interactive way, and the concept quickly found big response from the public. Degustation Pianistic plays grand venues these days, still keeping the communicative and improvisational spirit alive.
